Monique’s T-shirts

This is what we try to make with photoshop to give you an idea of what is coming soon. We’ll start with 3 Tshirt for girls, illustrated by Monique and her animals, Zanies.
What left to do now is to see it with the printing company, the placement of the drawings .. etc, it might also be an occation for us to re-visit the northernt France and bring back home a nice bit of Maroilles (local cheese, one of the smelliest french cheese !)

Sanctuary of the sea

This week-end, i dropped by the « Konpira-san sanctuary of the sea » exhibition held in the Guimet Museum of asian arts. A wonderful exhibition that shows for the first time out of Japan many of the main masterpieces of the Konpira-san sanctuary on the Shikoku island, Japan.
« In the sanctuary, the cult of the mountain meets the beliefs relating to the protective divinity of maritime transports, which guards against the dangers of the sea, and became a major devotion centre in the all archipel. »
Among the many artwork exposed, some gorgeous paintings on screens and sliding partitions, and even a beautiful collection of oil paintings of Takahashi Yuichi (wich was quite rare for Japan).
This last photo is from the exhibition website and shows a quite surprising artwork for this kind of place.
Mingei spirit

Today I’ve been to Quai Branly Museum, to see the exhibition of “Mingei spirit in Japan”. This exhibition shows the stong link between the traditional arts and crafts and the design in Japan.
